A CD release concert iin Bellingham, WA was attended by over 100 local friends and family of John Friesen and David Hilbich.

A completely new sound! John Friesen (Cello) and David Hilbich (Piano) collaborate on this CD of original compositions, and arrangements of some older classics. The amazing range and emotive quality of the cello, played masterfully by John Friesen, is sublty supported by piano, or majestically highlighted by the pipe organ.

This CD is a great addition to the musical library of those who appreciate the "minimalist" style of music, or enjoy the calming, meditative sounds of cello and piano.

After working on this CD for almost 2 years, it finally all came together late in the fall of 2007. John and I had worked countless hours scrutinizing almost every note and trying to get it just right. In the end I realized that it is more difficult to write music with less notes - each note is that much more critical to the outcome.
